Allerton Retreat

The Allerton Retreat takes place from Friday after school until late afternoon on Saturday on a weekend in September. The dates are first announced in the Marching Band Handbook, sent home with students in late winter/early spring.

Students are transferred by school bus between the school and the camp.

The band uses this concentrated time to finish learning the remaining portion of the show. Attendance at the Allerton Retreat is required as part of participation in Marching Band.

The fee ($40 in 2012-13) covers dinner on Friday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday, and overnight accommodations at the Allerton 4H camp.

Parent volunteers serve as chaperones, staying overnight in the cabins with the students and leaving after breakfast in the morning. To volunteer as a chaperone, please contact Mr. Stevens.
