Events

The Mahomet-Seymour Music Boosters host several events during the school year in support of the MS music programs. There are plenty of opportunities to participate!

Note: unless we are raising money for a specific event, such as a band or choral trip, all fundraiser proceeds support the entire music program (choral and band). 

Dawgapalooza

Dawgapalooza is a giant season-kickoff party jointly sponsored by the MS Music and Athletic Boosters as a fundraiser for both groups. This celebration, including food, music, inflatables, and more, is held outside the football stadium before the first home football game of the year. The volunteer coordinator will send out a call for volunteers in August.  


This marching band festival is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Held on a Saturday in October, it's an all-day event and requires many, many volunteers!  For more details on the next festival, please visit the festival page. 

Madrigal Dinners 

The madrigal singers perform at several local venues through the holiday season, but the full madrigal dinner performances take place the second weekend in December. For more information on ticket purchases, please see our Madrigal Dinner Tickets page

Performers include the madrigal singers; brass and recorder ensembles; and the servers, pages, and wenches, who join the madrigals in a mass song. 

Jazz Band Dinner Dance 

Usually held the first Saturday in March, this event closes the jazz band season and features performances by the junior high and high school jazz bands. Tickets may be purchased from jazz band members. Volunteers help setup, cleanup, and serve dinner. 


Students from the junior and senior high schools may choose to participate in this event by preparing and performing instrumental or choral pieces as solos or in small groups.  For more information on this event, please visit the festival page.
