Good Morning MSHS Band Fans, Saturday October 6th please have your band student arrive at the school
by 2:15. Please have your kids wear their grays... depending on the
temperature they may want to wear long grays. They will need to wear
other clothes over the grays unless they feel comfortable in grays
alone. Long hair needs to be put up in a french braid if a girl (we
will need some girls to step up and help with this as I'm sure there are
some that just can't do french braids) and guys with long hair will
need to put their hair up in a bun, no make-up and no jewelry (earrings
or watches). They will need to wear long white socks with no markings on
them, if they do not have long white socks we will provide a pair for
them. Please also make sure they bring money to eat and a snack if they
want something on the way home to eat on the bus as it will be a late
night returning. We've been closely monitoring the weather for tomorrow's competition at Bartonville Limestone and the forecast is not looking great. Apparently this school does have in indoor performance option, though, so we will be following the schedule we sent out earlier this week. As far as uniforms, the kids will still need to wear their grays (long or short...your kids can decide) and tall socks. If Limestone decides to hold the competition indoors, we will be wearing our planned scrubs uniforms. If we are outside and it is raining lightly, Mr. Stevens has requested that the kids wear their white uniform pants with their orange "infected" t-shirts (all are provided). If we do end up wearing the white pants and performing outside, our uniform mom, Tara, has requested help in washing the white pants. It is not hard, we just request that NO BLEACH be used on the pants. If you are able to help wash the pants, we would need you to meet at the uniform trailer immediately after the competition. Please let Tara know if this is something you can help with. Just wanted to clarify with you that our competition tomorrow is taking place in Bartonville, IL at their high school, which is called Limestone Community High School - near Peoria. It is NOT in the city of Limestone, IL near Kankakee. Limestone Community High School 4201 S Airport Rd Bartonville, IL 61607 Also...if you haven't had a chance...check out the photos of our newly completed band trailers on the MS Music Boosters Facebook page. Unbelievable transformation!!! We are so very thankful to all of you who contributed toward the trailer updates, with your financial help and your elbow grease. If it takes a village, I think our Marching Band village is the best village! Thanks everyone and GO MARCHING BULLDOGS!!! Jen B |
